Here are the Upcoming Projects Peacemaker 360.
(1) International Young Peacebuilders Forum (IYPF Colombia 2018)
In the summer of 2019 the peacemaker 360 team is planning on organizing its first international forum, a 3 day event that will bring 100 young peacebuilders to learn from the Colombian peace process and peace scholars and examine how peace activism trends all around the world are shaping the future of UN Resolution 2250. We are already in conversation with UNOY, Fundacion Escuelas para la Paz (FEP), BeyondSkin, Search for Common Ground(SFCG) for a possibility to join efforts in this project. We also invite any other organization or business entity interested in cosponsoring the forum to write to us at Christian@peacemaker360.com. We really would love to hear from you!
(2) Peacemaker 360 Book Series
By the summer of 2019, we are planning to publish our first Peacemaker 360 book that will further highlight the nexus between peacebuilding theories and practice through the works of peace activists featured in our campaign. The book series aims to reach three goals:
- Celebrate and amplify stories of peace activists around the world
- Bridge the gap between peacebuilding scholars and practionners by encouraging refreshing interdisciplinary dialogues
- Act as a tool for policy advocacy, formulation, and implementation in favor of communities affected by conflicts globally.
We are currently seeking for any support to move this project forward. If you or someone you know would like to be involved and support the project, Kindly talk to us. Let´s make it happen together !
(3) Peacemaker 360 documentary :
Following the realization of the first 2 projects, the Peacemaker 360 campaign is interested in further highlight the works of activists featured through the production of a documentary. Based on activists’ stories shared since inception of the campaign, our team is identifying 36 ordinary men and women whose important works are shaping new narratives in transforming violent extremism, human rights protection, women leadership, and child and youth protection in 14 countries to be later determined. Once needed funds are secured, we will announce candidates and through a democratic process elect finalists to be featured in the first episode of the series. We hope that the documentary will be an effective tool in providing informed and balanced perspectives about peace activism efforts in these countries and encourage more synergies among peacebuilding grassroots initiatives and other stakeholders in each country context. Although this project is not our top priority at the moment, we would be interested in connecting with organizations and media entities interested in joining hands with us on this project.
